Africa CDC Industrial Fellowship Programme in Vaccine Manufacturing 2026-2027

The Africa CDC, in collaboration with the African Vaccine Manufacturing Initiative (AVMI), has launched the Industrial Fellowship Programme in Vaccine Manufacturing. This 1-year programme (July 2026 – September 2027) is designed to equip recent graduates with the competencies outlined in the Vaccine R&D and Vaccine Manufacturing Competency Frameworks. Participants will gain valuable, hands-on experience in vaccine manufacturing over the course of the year, with a strong focus on current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). The selected fellows will be placed at active vaccine manufacturing institutions in Egypt, Senegal, or South Africa, aiming to strengthen Africa's vaccine workforce to meet the continent's ambition of manufacturing 60% of its vaccine demand by 2040.
