The CERN Short-Term Internship is a practical training programme designed to allow students to take their first steps into the world of work. Interns join a team of experts and contribute to real projects that connect science, technology, and innovation. The programme offers a monthly allowance and is open to students in technical, engineering, or administrative fields who are required or encouraged by their university to complete a practical training period.

Eligibility

• Must be a national of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State.
• Must be a full-time student at the undergraduate (post-secondary) or graduate level (Technical/Administrative diploma, Bachelor or Master).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a good knowledge of English or French.
• Must remain enrolled as a full-time student throughout the internship duration.
