The International Research Training Program (iRTP) and the Macquarie University Research Excellence Scholarship (iMQRES) are designed to support exceptional international graduate researchers. Eligibility
Must be an international student (not a citizen or permanent resident of Australia or New Zealand)
Achieve a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) equivalent of 65 or higher
Meet Macquarie University's English language proficiency requirements (typically IELTS 6.5 or equivalent)
Must be seeking to enroll in a full-time Master of Research or PhD program
Must reside in Sydney, Australia during the candidature
Requirements
Hold a Master's degree by research or an Honors degree with a strong research component
Demonstrated research output such as publications, conference papers, or awards
A clear and innovative research proposal (1000-2000 words)
Evidence of previous academic transcripts and degree certificates
Agreement from a Macquarie University faculty member to act as a supervisor
