The MTN Bright Scholarship '26 is an initiative by the MTN Ghana Foundation aimed at supporting academically talented but financially disadvantaged students and teachers pursuing degree programmes. The programme provides comprehensive financial assistance to help cover tuition fees and other educational expenses for students studying in public tertiary institutions or vocational/technical courses in Ghana. The scholarship strongly encourages applications from women, differently-abled students, and those pursuing tech-focused STEM courses.

Eligibility
Must be a Ghanaian citizen
Must be currently pursuing a degree at a recognized public tertiary institution in Ghana, or be enrolled in a vocational/technical course
Alternatively, candidates may be professional teachers pursuing a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)
Must have an excellent academic record
Must consistently demonstrate good behavior
Must not currently hold any other form of educational scholarship
Requirements
Submission of an online application through the official web portal
Submission of a one-page letter outlining educational and professional goals and explaining why the candidate deserves the scholarship
Professional teachers must submit a one-page letter detailing why they should be awarded, including achievements in ICT/STEM and expected impacts from the training
Professional teachers must provide a Curriculum Vitae (CV) and a letter of recommendation from their current teaching school

Application Process
Access the official web portal at scholarship.mtn.com.gh
Select the 'Bright Scholarship' option from the menu
Fill out the necessary information and upload the required one-page letter
Teachers must also upload their CV and letter of recommendation
Submit the final application along with valid contact details (phone number and email address) between March 1 and May 31, 2026
Shortlisted applicants will be notified and invited to meet directly with the scholarship panel
How to Apply
Applying is completely FREE; under no circumstances will an applicant be required to pay any fees for the processing of their application
Applications will be subject to strict due diligence, and any misrepresentation or act of dishonesty identified will result in disqualification or withdrawal of the scholarship
Ensure you provide active contact details, as shortlisted applicants will be notified directly for panel interviews
Selection Process
Applications are screened for eligibility, academic record, and verification of non-receipt of other scholarships
Preference is given to applicants pursuing courses in ICT, Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Analytics
Women and differently-abled students are especially encouraged to apply and are prioritized in the selection
Shortlisted applicants undergo an interview process with the official scholarship panel
