Eligibility
Must be an international student and not a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye, nor hold dual citizenship with Türkiye
High School (Imam Hatip) applicants must be single, born after January 1, 2010, and must have graduated or be eligible to graduate from an 8th-grade equivalent institution with a minimum score of 70%
Bachelor's applicants must be born after January 1, 2005, and have graduated from high school with a minimum GPA of 70%
Master's applicants must be under 30 years old as of January 1 of the application year, and hold a Bachelor's degree in theology or Islamic studies
Doctoral applicants must be under 35 years old as of January 1 of the application year, and hold a relevant Master's degree with a thesis component
Must not have a gap of more than two years between graduation and acceptance to the next degree program
Must not have any mental or physical health conditions that would prevent studying in Türkiye
Must not have any disciplinary actions on their academic record or criminal convictions
Requirements
Submission of a completed online scholarship application form via the DBYS portal
Submission of a compelling motivation letter explaining your goals and a reference letter for Undergraduate and Postgraduate applicants
Submission of a valid parental or guardian consent form is strictly required for High School applicants
Successful completion of a visual aptitude test, general culture assessment, and an interview evaluating basic religious knowledge and Quran recitation
Foreign students who previously graduated in Türkiye must submit a YDS/YÖKDİL language exam score of at least 50 (for postgraduate applicants)

Upload all required documents securely, including your passport, transcripts, diploma, health report, and photographs
Submit the application strictly before the February 28, 2026 deadline

Selection Process
