The Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) Scholarship is a financial assistance program offered by the Indonesian Government to prospective international students coming from developing countries to pursue their Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degrees at one of the 30+ partner universities in Indonesia. The program aims to contribute to the human resource development of developing countries, promote deeper cultural understanding, and strengthen the relationship between Indonesia and other developing nations.

Eligibility
Must be a citizen of a developing country
Must not hold Indonesian citizenship
Maximum age: 21 years (Bachelor), 35 years (Master), 40 years (Doctoral)
Must hold the required previous degree (High School for Bachelor, Bachelor for Master, Master for PhD)
Must provide a Recommendation Letter from the Indonesian Embassy/Consulate

Provide Academic Transcripts and Certificates (in English)
Provide English Proficiency Test results (TOEFL IBT 80, IELTS 6.0, TOEIC 700)
Provide a Medical Health Certificate

Application Process
Download the Invitation Letter from the KNB website (knb.kemdiktisaintek.go.id).
Submit the Invitation Letter and your documents to the nearest Indonesian Embassy to get a Recommendation Letter.
Register online at the KNB Scholarship portal.
Complete the online application form and upload all required documents.
Submit the application before March 31, 2026.
How to Apply
You CANNOT apply without the Recommendation Letter from the Indonesian Embassy. Visit the Embassy early, as this step takes time.
