The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Arizona State University (ASU) has entered a new phase focused on Innovation and Technology. For the 2026 intake, the program offers a pathway starting with a Graduate Certificate. Scholars who successfully complete the certificate are automatically entered into the selection process for a fully funded Master's degree. The program combines ASU's online learning with in-person support and residency (often in Rwanda via Kepler College).

Eligibility
Must be a citizen of an African country
Must be between the ages of 18 and 33 (or 35 depending on specific track)
Must have earned a Bachelor's degree by July 2026
Must demonstrate a track record of leadership and service in the community
Must not have started or completed a prior graduate degree
