The NEPL/OERNL Joint Venture, comprising NNPC Exploration and Production Limited (NEPL) and Oando Energy Resources Nigeria Limited (OERNL), invites qualified applicants for its 2026/2027 Tertiary Scholarship Scheme. This Corporate Social Responsibility initiative aims to promote academic excellence and support human capital development by providing annual financial grants to deserving 100-level undergraduates in Nigerian tertiary institutions. The scheme is divided into the Host Communities Merit Award (for specific states) and the National Merit Award (for students across Nigeria in targeted fields).
Benefits
Annual financial grant of ₦200,000 provided for the duration of the student's undergraduate study
Eligibility
Must be a registered full-time undergraduate in a recognized Nigerian Tertiary Institution
Must be a certified 100-level student at the time of application
Must not be a 200-level student or above
Must not be a current beneficiary of similar scholarship awards from other companies and agencies
Must not be a dependent of staff of Oando PLC and its subsidiaries
National Merit Award applicants must strictly be studying Engineering, Geology, Geosciences, or Agricultural Sciences
Host Communities Merit Award applicants must strictly be indigenes of Oando host/transit communities in Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, and Imo States
Requirements
Submission of a complete online application through the Scholastica portal
Must participate in an online aptitude test if shortlisted
Must achieve a minimum overall score of 50% in the online aptitude test to be considered for the award
Submission of a sworn affidavit or certificate if the names used in the application do not perfectly match the names on all uploaded documentation
