Fields of study: Arts, Humanities, Ecology, Writing, Botanical Art
OSGF Residencies provide dedicated time for work and inspiration in a beautiful setting. The Interdisciplinary Residency is open to artists, writers, and researchers (5 weeks or 2 weeks). The Botanical Artist Residency specifically supports those creating scientifically accurate depictions of plants. Residents receive housing, meals, and a smaller grant/honorarium compared to Fellows.

Eligibility
Must be an artist, writer, ecologist, or researcher
Botanical Artists: Must work from direct observation to create scientifically accurate depictions
Interdisciplinary: Open to parents/caregivers (2-week option available)
Must not be an undergraduate student in the residency year

Application Process
Apply via the OSGF Submittable portal between Feb 14 and May 31, 2026.
Select the 'Interdisciplinary Residency' or 'Botanical Artist Residency'.
Submit required materials and samples.
How to Apply
Writers: Do not include hyperlinks in your writing sample. Botanical Artists: Digital art and photography are NOT accepted; must be traditional media (watercolor, ink, etc.).
