Think Big is the University of Bristol's flagship scholarship scheme for international students. It provides tuition fee waivers worth £6,500, £13,000, or £26,000 per year. The awards are available for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate students and are allocated based on academic merit and the applicant's potential to contribute to the university community.

Eligibility
Must be classed as an overseas student for fee purposes
Must have applied to start a full-time Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in September 2026
Must not be already in receipt of other full funding
Must demonstrate outstanding future potential
Requirements
Apply for admission to a course at the University of Bristol
Obtain your student ID number (from the admission acknowledgement)
Complete the Think Big online application form
Write three short essays (200 words each)

Application Process
Submit a course application to the University of Bristol via UCAS (Undergrad) or the website (Postgrad)
Wait to receive your 7-digit student ID number via email
Visit the 'Think Big' scholarship webpage and click 'Apply'
Answer the three essay questions about your achievements and goals
Submit the form online before 10 am (UK time) on April 10, 2026
How to Apply
The decision is based almost entirely on the 3 essay questions (200 words each). Focus on: 1) Your special skills/achievements, 2) Why Bristol?, 3) How you will be a good ambassador. Do not just repeat your grades.
