The Faculty of Science at the University of Geneva, with the support of external partners, offers Excellence Master Fellowships to outstanding and highly motivated students who wish to pursue a Master of Science degree. The selection is based strictly on academic excellence. The fellowship includes a substantial grant to cover living costs in Geneva and is renewable for the duration of the Master's program.
Benefits
Grant of CHF 10,000 to CHF 15,000 per year.
No teaching duties required.
Awarded for one year initially and extended for the regular duration of the Master's program (3 or 4 semesters) provided the student is academically successful at the end of the first semester.
Eligibility
Must be an outstanding student from any university worldwide.
Must belong to the top 10% of your Bachelor's program class.
Must have completed the Bachelor's degree or expect to complete it within 6 months of the application deadline.
Must meet the specific admission criteria of the chosen Master's program at the Faculty of Science.
Selection is based entirely on the excellence of the academic profile.
Requirements
Complete the online Excellence Fellowship application.
Complete the standard enrollment procedure for the Master's program at the Admissions Office.
Provide proof of English or French proficiency (depending on the program, though many Science Masters are in English).

Application Process
1. Apply for admission to the Master's program via the UNIGE Admissions Office (if not already a UNIGE student).
2. Register for the Excellence Fellowship online (link available from early January).
3. You will receive a personal link by email to fill out the application form.
4. Upload all required documents as a SINGLE PDF file.
5. Ensure your referees send their letters if they are not included in your PDF.
6. Submit before the February 28 deadline.
