The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) Summer Student Fellowship provides a unique opportunity for undergraduates to work on an independent research project under the guidance of WHOI scientists and engineers. Fellows participate in seminars, workshops, and a hands-on ocean sampling cruise. The program aims to give promising students a firsthand introduction to research in oceanography and oceanographic engineering.

Eligibility
Must be an undergraduate student who has completed their junior year (3rd year) by the start of the fellowship
Must not have graduated before the fellowship begins (i.e., must be returning to undergraduate studies)
Must have a tentative interest in ocean sciences, oceanographic engineering, or marine policy
International students are eligible (WHOI provides J-1 Visa assistance)
